Now with attachments
One day after launch, the first update has cleared review: version 1.1 is on the App Store. The biggest piece is attachments — and the most important part is two bugs found by a day-one user.
Attachments
Images, scans and files now live directly on tasks and projects. Camera and document scanner start straight from the expanded card: the receipt on “Tax return”, the meter reading on “Read electricity meter”, the quote as a PDF on the project. Attachments are part of Hobba Pro — existing ones stay fully usable without it: view, share, delete.
Copy and paste
⌘C and ⌘V move tasks between lists, ⇧⌘C takes the link along, ⌘Z undoes, ⌫ deletes the selection. Sounds obvious — it wasn’t there until now.
Dictation arrives in the background
Hobba’s Siri route runs through Apple Reminders: you dictate into a watched list — from your wrist, in the car, on a HomePod — and Hobba collects it into the Inbox. Until now you had to open the app for that. Now it collects in the background too: dictated on the go, waiting for you at home.
The sync dot tells the truth
The little dot in the top corner used to stay green, saying “syncing …” forever if it had to. Now it turns amber when there’s no connection and red when syncing is actually stuck. A status light that’s always green isn’t one.
Two bugs, found on day one
A day-one user found two bugs in the store version within the first hours: tapping the accent colors opened the purchase screen invisibly behind Settings — seemingly, nothing happened at all. And scrolling in Settings could accidentally pull open search. Both are fixed in 1.1. Plus a gap nobody had reported for months: subtasks simply could not be deleted. Every row now carries an ✕.
Also in this update
In “Upcoming” you can drag a task onto another day — an empty one, too. Past events turn grey in “Today”. On the Mac, ⌘F searches again and ESC closes search, the board works in landscape, and the background runs through the whole window instead of stopping at the sidebar. And the floating buttons now take Apple’s unfrosted glass on gradient and image backgrounds — it doesn’t frost the background, it refracts it, like a little lens.
Hobba talks to Claude
Quietly on board: the Hobba Connector. If you work with Claude Code, you can plug Hobba in as a tool — create tasks, check them off, move them, set up whole projects with board columns in one go. Everything runs through the app, nothing through a third-party server. There’s a dedicated guide.
Version 1.1 is available now as a free update on the App Store. Version 1.2 — with the week grid in “Upcoming” — is already with the testers.
Hobba is a to-do app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch — no account, no subscription, no tracking. On the App Store since August 30, 2026: one purchase, no monthly bill.
