List, board or tiles

As of 10 September 2026

The same project looks different depending on what you mean to do with it. A list to work through, a board to sort, tiles to take it all in. Switching takes two taps.

Switching

Inside an open project, top right, just left of the ••• menu: List, Board, Tiles. The symbol shows which one you are in.

Board and tiles belong to Hobba Pro — going back to the list always works. The same gate covers the week grid in “Upcoming”; on the paywall the line reads Board & week grid.

What each one does

List — the basic form. Sections, subtasks, swipe gestures, everything below one another.

Board — sections become columns. Cards are dragged between them; this is the view for sorting.

Tiles — compact and square, good for taking in many short tasks at once. Select several with two fingers across the tiles (on Mac with the mouse button held), and the bar with the bulk actions appears at the bottom.

“Evening”

Some things don't belong in the day but at its edge. “Today” has its own area for that, and a task gets there in three ways:

The day bar

Above the Today tiles sits a slim bar showing how the day runs: where events are and where the gaps are. The events come from your calendar — Hobba asks once for permission, and you pick which calendars count under Settings › Calendar. Events in Today & Upcoming belongs to Hobba Pro.

The evening wrap-up

Once in the evening Hobba asks what should happen to what is left: Left from today and Overdue, each with the choice to complete it, push it to tomorrow, or leave it. If nothing is open, it just says Nothing left. Have a good evening.

The wrap-up is a question, not an automation: whatever you don't touch stays exactly where it is.
